Everyone in Japan is familiar with Dorayaki. We want everyone to enjoy such dorayaki. The “WAKARON” was born out of the desire for everyone to enjoy such dorayaki.
opened a specialty store in Kitahorie, Osaka, in 2020.
Today, the store is loved by many people not only at the store, but also through various events and mail-order sales.
We wanted to evolve Dorayaki into a sweet that combines both Japanese and Western flavors. We began development with this idea in mind. The crust is made with shiratama (white bean) flour, which gives it a unique, glutinous texture. The mousse was tested over and over again to ensure that it would not be too sweet when combined with the crust.
And so was born, “WAKARON.”
